Hitachi, well done fab camera. Advantages: Good quality, cool features, allows DVD RAM disks. Disadvantages: Sleep, is not very effective,It's bulky, & No Touch. The Hitachi DZ-GX5060E DVD Camcorder, this is a great quality camcorder that captures the footage on to 8mm (Mini) DVD disks. I decided to get this camera in Curry's, because: I didn't Want Mini DV tapes (I think their getting a little old now) I needed a good camera to take on holiday, and to make youtube videos outside. I'm going to set this review up in a few sections, Design, On screen Options, My Opinion, and Accessories. So, here it goes. ... ...although not that light or compact. It fits into my hand nicely, but could be a tad lighter. The colour of the camera is silver and Grey. On one side their is the 8mm Disk drive, which allows you to put in DVD R, RW and RAM Disks. So far I have been using TDK DVD+RW Disks. Those tapes are such old hat !!! Advantages: Record in full HD, very light, 5.3 mega-pixel camera, reliable Disadvantages: large exterior, small screen, pricey The Hitachi DZ-BD7OE is the first ever Blu-ray camcorder. It has the ability to record in full High Definition (1080p). You can buy this very camcorder for £569-over £600 if you look hard enough on the internet, which does seem a lot for a camcorder. Blu-ray technology is fairly new, so it is fair to understand the initial prices of all blu-ray compatible devices will be high. This is the first camcorder which incorporates blu-ray technology. I like this camera Advantages: Easy editing, very compact, DVD recording Disadvantages: Takes several seconds to start filming. I have owned the Hitachi DZ MV350E for about six months and I love it. It is very easy to use, compact, and has a simple menu system so that you can view what you've taken immediately. You can edit the disc on the camera and so save disc space, You can even arrange your clips into playlists for an impressive quickly made movie. If you have a DVD drive on your computer you can put the disc straight into your computer and save your MPEG or JPG files ... ...investing in DVD-RAM discs, you can record half an hour's footage per side, they are a bit expensive but you can use them over and over again which saves you money in the long run. You can also save still photos onto the disc or a memory card and picture quality is very good. You can also use an external microphone or the built in stereo mike. Another advantage is that the camera automatically records to free disc space so you never risk accidently ...
