First ever Blu-ray camcorder.
Review of Hitachi DZ-BD70E by yassarikhan786

Advantages: Record in full HD, very light, 5.3 mega-pixel camera, reliable
Disadvantages: large exterior, small screen, pricey

The Hitachi DZ-BD7OE is the first ever Blu-ray camcorder. It has the ability to record in full High Definition (1080p). You can buy this very camcorder for £569-over £600 if you look hard enough on the internet, which does seem a lot for a camcorder. Blu-ray technology is fairly new, so it is fair to understand the initial prices of all blu-ray compatible devices will be high. This is the first camcorder which incorporates blu-ray technology. When ...
...blu-ray camcorders (including the DZ-BD70E) will drop due to high levels of competition. Now, leaving the price 'issues' of the camcorder and moving onto other areas of the camcorder. You may be pleased to know that you will be able to buy the DZ-BD70E in only the standard grey and silver colour. It is a fairly large and bulky device, which may make you think that it is also very heavy. But with its large exterior you will be pleased to know that ... Read review

I like this camera
Review of Hitachi DZ MV350E by HazaKnott

Advantages: Easy editing, very compact, DVD recording
Disadvantages: Takes several seconds to start filming.

I have owned the Hitachi DZ MV350E for about six months and I love it. It is very easy to use, compact, and has a simple menu system so that you can view what you've taken immediately. You can edit the disc on the camera and so save disc space, You can even arrange your clips into playlists for an impressive quickly made movie. If you have a DVD drive on your computer you can put the disc straight into your computer and save your MPEG or JPG files ...
...investing in DVD-RAM discs, you can record half an hour's footage per side, they are a bit expensive but you can use them over and over again which saves you money in the long run. You can also save still photos onto the disc or a memory card and picture quality is very good. You can also use an external microphone or the built in stereo mike. Another advantage is that the camera automatically records to free disc space so you never risk accidently ... Read review

NV GS60 Panasonic Camcorder
Review of Panasonic NV GS60EG-S by xia1

Advantages: Good Zoom, easy to use, good picture
Disadvantages: Didn't include DV cable, uses battery charge fast

I have owned the NV GS60 for over a year now and I am still happy with its performance. It hasn't broke or stopped working at all ever. It has a good 30x zoom. It came with 6 tapes to record on and i bought it off Amazon for £114 pounds. It has a 2 inch Lcd optional screen or you can use it the normal way. It isn't hard to operate and i found easy to use, within a few days i was recording, editing and using clips on the internet! It was a shame ...
...buy that seperately. Mine came with a Television cable but dissapointingly not with a DV cable which is neccesary to connect to your laptop or PC. The battery doesn't take long to charge and after an hour it's about done. But it used the battery charge pretty fast so i had to charge it again. Also it's a bit of a fumble putting the battery in the camcorder. I was going to buy a tripod but didn't bother as i had already started filming. My whole ... Read review
