MEGA 1st c'corder, great gift & girls nights out!

Disadvantages: No good in dark places & turns itself on easily

I bought two of these little camcorders for my bridesmaids this summer, and then I bought one for myself to take on my honeymoon. I WOULD RECOMMEND HOWEVER, TAKING OUT ONE OF THE BATTERIES WHEN NOT USING IT AS IT CAN TURN ITSELF ON VERY EASILY WHEN PRESSED UP AGAINST ANYTHING. It's got great sound quality, but the zoom isn't so hot, when you zoom it tends to lose the quality a bit and goes a bit shaky. Review of Mustek DV 5300SE

Terrible product

Advantages: Works with AA batteries
Disadvantages: Everything else

After reading plenty of positive opinions I decided to get this camera hoping it was going to work better than my Finepix A403 did for video (the Fuji one recording only 20 seconds at 320 x 240) but it's been one disappointment after another. Great Compact Camera

Advantages: Great video & sound quality
Disadvantages: Poor stills

Before buying the Mustek DV 5000, I'd considered many other options of video camera, namely those that used mini-DV tapes. A fantastic buy

Advantages: Compact, Great picture quality, Great image processing.
Disadvantages: Doesn't take AA batteries, you have to recharge the cam's battery.

Mustek DV 3500 Video Camera

I bought this used but practically brand new. I could video but the playback only lasts 2 seconds and the entire camera shuts off, you have to turn the camera back on in order to either take pictures or use the video again. according to the directions, using the camera other features is supposed to be easy, but the directions I find are misleading.
