Panasonic HDC-HS300 Advantages: Incredible image quality & colours, focus ring, Leica lens Disadvantages: Battery life, fiddly menus, cost I am a wedding and event Videographer and I use this as a secondary camera to my Sony Z1. I’ll start by saying this is a great wee camera. It is small, light and fairly durable. It is a fantastic handy cam. The Camera has a built in 120GB hard drive which is a great size and does not make the camera bulky in any way. If you find that is not enough storage space it is a hybrid camera that can use SD cards as well which is a great feature. The mode you shoot will affect how much memory is used. The higher quality obviously uses up more memory but with a 120GB hard drive I have never had to reduce the quality. It is fairly lightweight at 400g (slightly more with the battery attached). The camera has a x42 optical zoom. the zoom is a fairly good quality but the image resolution does suffer at the extreme end of the zoom. the camera has a 2.5 inch led screen. one of this cameras best fetures is the optical image stabilization. it very cleverly and efficiently removes blurring that is caused by having a less than ... ...battery life is good. charge time is between 2 and 3 hours and this will last very well, even if you are using the additional energy sapping features such as the backlight. you can also plug it directly to the mains via a cable that is provided. the on screen menus work well and have enough features to keep gadget enthusiasts interested.
