Following years of online shopping without problems use credit card to purchase camera from these people. Camera was delivered but within days £1000s had been debited from the account to purchase all manner of goods using all the details that only camerabox had. Coincedence?
Only ever used the actual card details once and only with them. Police now informed as in my mind the two are linked. Wish I had seen other reviews with other security issues ...

Sadly, whilst the sales service is great, if you have a problem they are very very poor. I returned a faulty camera over 6 weeks ago - purchased 1 month earlier. The fault was electrical and I sent the camera to a repairs department in Glasgow. I called this company and they said that they don't track repairs and I had to contact camerabox. Initially, the service was good - but now they don't return emails. I have sent two emails in the last four ... ...email is the only way of contacting CameraBox, and Camerabox has given no indication of when or indeed whether I will get the camera back. The latest email requested a replacement for the faulty camera - no response received. I have since contacted Trading Standards for their assistance. I also hope that it will not need to go to the small claims court. Lesson - better to pay a bit more and ensure that if things go wrong you have after sales service. ...

I bought a Panasonic camera form these guys about 12 months ago. Whole ordering and delivery was fine. Now things have turned bad. Firstly it was a grey import, so now that I have a problem with the camera, Panasonic don’t want to know about it.

I tried to purchase a Lumix TZ7 through camerabox.co.uk, but entered the wrong expiry date on my credit card. A few hours later my card started receiving fraudulent charges with the same incorrect expiry date and was promptly deactivated by my credit card company. I find it hard to believe that it is a coincidence that charges with the same expiry date started appearing right after I tried to order from camerabox. My computer is up-to-date with all ... ...is spyware free. The order was done over a SSL secured connection. I'm glad that my credit card company was quick to act and managed to deactivate my card before any money left my account. I talked to customer service; the only thing they did was cancel my order and say that their site is secure. Will not use again. ...

I did a lot of searching of the web to try find out about where to get the best deal on the Canon camera. Camerabox certainly had the most attractive price and so I placed an order on Friday evening. An automated email was promptly returned confirming the order. However, over the weekend and Monday and then Tuesday I heard nothing further. I called the telephone number on the website and had to leave a message on the voice mail service. I am still ... ...of emails requesting further information about my order. The money was debited from my account 5 days after placing the order with no further email notification.
