Order was delivered perfectly but my card had been cloned and someone enjoyed racking up several thousand pounds on complete random rubbish.
To make it clear, I had a new card that was never used, ever. I used it online at camerabox and within a month all manner of goods had been bought. I never used the card anywhere else at all and I don't store my card details electronically. Legally I cannot say it was Camerabox but seems clear to me and given ... ...research before buying from anyone. If buying online use a credit card as that way you are insured. Thank god I didn't use a debit card.
I e-mailed them and had a very nasty reply but long story short is Camerabox and the Metropolitan police know each other very well, very very well. ...

I wish I had done some research first before dealing with this firm. Their website is quite impressive and they were the only site I visited that had the Nikon SB-400 flashgun that I wanted. There website indicated that they were in stock and available for express, next day delivery. 3 days later, no goods. I sent three Emails which were not acknowledged so I reluctantly telephoned customer service.
What sounded like a young lad answered my call ... ...drew his attention to the info on their website and he put me on hold so he could look into it. He came back after all of five seconds with the news that there were indeed two models but they were damaged and could not be sent out, he quickly added that they were wet. I was informed that more would be arriving on Friday and my order would be sent out on Monday. I await with not a lot of confidence. By the way, they debited my credit card the day ...

Following years of online shopping without problems use credit card to purchase camera from these people. Camera was delivered but within days £1000s had been debited from the account to purchase all manner of goods using all the details that only camerabox had. Coincedence?
Only ever used the actual card details once and only with them. Police now informed as in my mind the two are linked. Wish I had seen other reviews with other security issues ...

Sadly, whilst the sales service is great, if you have a problem they are very very poor. I returned a faulty camera over 6 weeks ago - purchased 1 month earlier. The fault was electrical and I sent the camera to a repairs department in Glasgow. I called this company and they said that they don't track repairs and I had to contact camerabox. Initially, the service was good - but now they don't return emails. I have sent two emails in the last four ... ...email is the only way of contacting CameraBox, and Camerabox has given no indication of when or indeed whether I will get the camera back. The latest email requested a replacement for the faulty camera - no response received. I have since contacted Trading Standards for their assistance. I also hope that it will not need to go to the small claims court. Lesson - better to pay a bit more and ensure that if things go wrong you have after sales service. ...
