Best Nikon Flash I've used.
Review of Nikon SB 800 Speedlight Hot-shoe clip-on flash by
imagecd
Advantages: Perfect for Nikon D2H, extra battery holder for faster recycling
Disadvantages: only for Nikon
I use Nikon digital SLR's for work & we purchased some of these when we changed to Nikon D2H's.
The SB 800 work extremely well with the D2H & gives the best results I've seen so far on a Nikon speedlight with a Digital SLR.
The settings are logical & quick to adjust & the extra clip on battery holder speed recycling for the odd occasion you need a bit extra.
We have had a couple repaired (one "feell off" the roofd of a moving car & only needed ...

More brilliance from sony.
Review of Sony NP BG1 Lithium Ion by
MVP017
Advantages: Brilliant battery life, looksa and size
Disadvantages: Probarably don't need a spare
...This battery came with the Sony Cybershot DSC-W55 and i have been using it for about 2 months and have not found a fault with it. It came free with the Camera (Amazom £139) but it can be bought separately for around £20.
The battery charges up through a charger which plugs to a normal plug socket and takes around 4hrs depending on how charged the battery is. I got this charger with the camera and you should get it with any sony camera you get. The ... ...replacement but i have not found a need for one. I recently took just one battery on a 10 day holiday to Italy and found that the battery lasted all holiday, taking in excess of 200 pictures, and it was not dry at the end of it.
As for the size of it, it is only 35mmx41mmx8 mm and weighes a megre 300g. This size not only means that the camera is that much more compact but also a spare is very easy to transport as is the charger. I know that it gets ...

Canon Speedlite 430EZ (not listed) NOT the 430EX!
Review of Canon Speedlite 430EX Hot-shoe clip-on flash by
happydadtoo
Advantages: Readily available second-hand; many features; easy to use;
Disadvantages: DOES NOT WORK WITH DIGITAL CAMERAS
...the 'solid workhorse' of the Canon Speedlite range. Much cheaper than the top-of-the-range 540EZ, it has an excellent Guide Number (GN) of 43 (100 ISO film, in metres) and has a range of up to 20m or so. It comes in a vinyl pouch with clear-easy to understand instructions. It uses 4x AA size batteries, and don't consider using ordinary batteries unless you have a deep bank balance, as they do not last long. Rechargeables not only recharge the flash ... ...WITH THE CURRENT GENERATION OF CANON DIGITAL SLR CAMERAS (except in fully-manual mode) and so I had to replace this unit when I went digital.
If you are a film user and want an excellent, powerful, all-purpose Canon flashgun, you could do no better. They originally cost about £150 (15 years ago!!), but are now for sale for £20 or so - a real bargain!

Very handy little thing
Review of Nikon ML L3 Infrared Remote control for Camera by
Centaurus_X-3
Advantages: Easy to use and robust!
Disadvantages: None found yet
...simple to use. On my Nikon D50, all i have to do is hold one button and swivel the dial a couple clicks and there, all set up. This allows the photographer to take photos of close up wildlife from a distance (so that they arent scared by some big human). It is also handy when it comes to astronomical photography. When the remote mode has been activated and the shutter speed turned right the way down until it reads "--", you can press the remote button ... ...until you press the remote button again - no timings whatsoever. You can determine the time the shutte is open.
It is also very robust. I managed to drop it in a stream where it sank for a few seconds before i fished it out. I then threw it to my friend to dry off and he missed it so it crashed into the concrete path. It was perfectly fine - needed a little drying though.
I highly recommend this item as it is so easy to use and yet so useful (and ...

Free with you trusty iPod
Review of Apple iPod Dock Connector To USB 2.0 Data cable by
chris-greenfield
Advantages: long, easy to store, quick transfers, long-lasting
Disadvantages: n/a
well what can i say, you get this connector free when you buy your ipod or you can buy it seperately for between £5 and £10. Obviously it can be very useful and very handy because it can be used to transfer songs, images and videos from computer to ipod.
As well as this it can be used to charge your ipod if you buy a serperate mains charger. the cable measures around one metre meaning it can be plugged into your ipod from a good distance. Its made ...
