Very handy little thing
Advantages: Easy to use and robust! Disadvantages: None found yet
...simple to use. On my Nikon D50, all i have to do is hold one button and swivel the dial a couple clicks and there, all set up. This allows the photographer to take photos of close up wildlife from a distance (so that they arent scared by some big human). It is also handy when it comes to astronomical photography. When the remote mode has been activated and the shutter speed turned right the way down until it reads "--", you can press the remote button ... ...until you press the remote button again - no timings whatsoever. You can determine the time the shutte is open.
It is also very robust. I managed to drop it in a stream where it sank for a few seconds before i fished it out. I then threw it to my friend to dry off and he missed it so it crashed into the concrete path. It was perfectly fine - needed a little drying though.
I highly recommend this item as it is so easy to use and yet so useful (and ...

Nikon SB 600
Advantages: Easy to read clear LCD, Light weight Disadvantages: Limited Flash Range
...using this flash on my Nikon D100 & have since bought a D200 both using the same Nikon 24~120 VR Lens.
The focus zoom function works on this flash, by works I am saying you can hear something but I have never noticed the difference when I have it switched off.
On a more positive note, Power management is great. I just leave the flash set in the default STANDBY mode & never turn it off. It turns itself on magically whenever you need it, and goes ... ...Flash (get it ?) when you want it.
Exposure compensation may set at the camera or the flash. The flash goes from -3 to +3 stops. If you have both the camera and the flash set, you get the TOTAL of the two settings.
That means if you set the camera to -1 and the flash to +1 you get the same as leaving them both alone (they cancel), and if you set both the camera and flash to +1 you get a total of +2. I don't know why you should want to do this & ...

Top Spark
Advantages: Battery life, price Disadvantages: N/A
This Nikon Battery was supplied with my Nikon D80 camera, which I purchased several months ago.
Size & Weight
The dimensions are 5.5cm in length, 3.7cm in width and 2cm in height, which is perfectly fine, it isn't especially large and it isn't especially small. I can't tell you the weight exactly but it isn't too heavy and won't noticeably weigh your camera down.
Price
The price is approximately £20 but you can find it for less if you look about ... ...said, it came with my Nikon D80 Digital SLR and so I assume it works with most if not all of the Nikon Digital SLR range.
Overall
I rate this battery very highly. The battery life is brilliant, I haven't had any issues with it. The price is highly reasonable. No complaints whatsoever. I highly recommend. ...

You are charged with...
Advantages: Its a battery Disadvantages: Its a battery
...in a digital camera, and Nikon digital cameras are no exception.
A typical battery will last for a good couple of years, before you notice a significant reduction in quality. So, what do I mean by a reduction in quality?
I mean that the time between charges will start to decrease. At first you could get a few hundred shots between charges, but when this figure decreases to between fifty and one hundred, you know you need a new battery. (These figures ... ...longer it will last. This Nikon battery cost me fifty quid, and is worth every penny.
It has got Li-ion technology and can hold 1400mAh of power (sounds good, doesn't it. Unfortunately I don't have a clue what it means though). On the package it says you get up to 1600 shots per charge, but I only get about three hundred (ish). I do however use the LCD screen quite a bit, and don't use a mains adaptor when connecting it to the computer to transfer ...

Nice addon for your Nikon
Advantages: Long exposure shutter lock. Disadvantages: No autofocus
...was included free with my Nikon SLR camera. The retail price of this is around £54.99. The Unit
#######
You know your getting a quality product when you hear "Nikon" - they have been in the business for years, and are one of the most trusted companies when it comes to photography. As the name suggests it's only suitable for Nikon cameras. I have the Nikon D80 and it works perfectly with it. One side of the cable inserts to the side of the camera ... ...enough for you (80cms) then Nikon have made available an extension cable. This can be purchased separately for around £45.00 for a length of 3m. In my view this is really expensive as the actual unit is £54.99 !
Disadvantages
############
You can get other much better remotes for half the price, which have the additional autofocus. Really here all you are paying for is the "Nikon" brand name. ...
