PORTRA for Portraits
Advantages: Has the look I need straight out of the bag no Photoshoping , tons of dynamic range. Disadvantages: Not the cheapest film ever
...been quite worked on in Photoshop, but I don't have time for that.
This is one area, shooting this at weddings, has over the digital cameras I normally use in the studio. Despite the digital onslaught Kodak keep improving this film, raising the bar. So long live Kodak Portra. ...

Best all round film there is
Advantages: High speed, kicks my digi compacts ass at ISO 400! Very very cheap Disadvantages: have to wait to see the pictures
This is just about the cheapest film I can buy at the moment, I can get it for 93p a roll at 7dayshop. It is also one of the best film I can find, I think it has better colours than Superia 100, great skin tones, and I can't seen any grain even at 9x6". I have used this in a standard point and shoot camera to take the candid shots on a professional wedding job I was doing in the past!
Its not the best film, but at 93p and this good, its probably ... ...started using my SLR I would always shoot ISO 100 film because coming from using a Digital compact(Fuji F610 was my first camera), I always thought ISO 400 looked crap(don't get me started on the ISO 800). It wasn't until I saw pictures taken from this film and other high ISO films in magazines that I finally bought some, but I was still unsure about using it. Well after the first roll I was hooked it is now my every day film and I only shoot the ...

not-so-fun shooter.
Advantages: Nice outer casing and has a flash mechanism Disadvantages: Relatively poor picture quality
...finished her trip.
The Polaroid Fun Shooter does look fun. Some interesting curves on the case and its primarily blue and grey colour scheme is quite modern. Apart from the lens, viewfinder and flash which adorns the front as per most cameras, the flash control switch is located on the front too just underneath the flashbulb.
The back of the camera has the other end of the viewfinder, the film-roller/winder and the flash ready indication light. ... ...So how does the Polaroid Fun Shooter perform as a disposable camera. Sadly I have to say it doesn't do too well. I find the pictures are very grainy during the daytime shots and the evening shots come out very foggy. The clarity is very disappointing. I don't expect crystal clear detail, but when a friend can't even make you out in an nighttime shot when you're withing flash range you know something is wrong.
Although pricewise the cost of the Fun ...
