Advantages: lightweight and compact, good quality images - clear and sharp, versatile

The Canon EF-S 15-55mm: A kit lens that will not disappoint!

Advantages: well above average image quality, cheap, image-stabilisation
Disadvantages: all-plastic build, some (but very little) chromatic aberration and barrel distortion

18-200mm Canon lens it's what you expect from the biggest company

Advantages: Build quility, Image Stabilization, good range of length so know need to change lenses.
Disadvantages: Weight, movement in the lens because of weight, price.
