A difficult objective Op this, as, lets be honest most fridge/freezers have a pretty good bash at what they were designed to do.

I purchased this product from Peter Rhodes a local independant electrical retailer about 5 months ago. I am not a sucker for fancy gizmos and gadgets on a fridge (ask the missus, I am when it comes to practically any opther electrical appliance) so I was in the cheapest does it camp when we were in the shop. We paid £230 for it and delivery was free as we live within 15 miles of the shop. I thought the price was reasonable and after checking on the .net I would have ended up paying the same online including delivery (best price is greatsaves.co.uk, £199 + £35 delivery).

The unit is about 1.5 m tall and the freezer section is on the top. Our previous fridge had the freezer unit at the bottom and I think I prefer this as a packet of frozen Mr Brain's Faggots can cause quite a toe injury dropped from 150 cm. The freezer section has one dividing shelf and is not massive (40 litres according to instructions) but is ample for the two of us. The fridge sections is a lot more spacious ( 180 litres) and has door pockets (useful for milk and fizzy pop) and 3 dividing shelves and a salad drawer.

All of the shelves are wire mesh units and are easy to remove for cleaning or rearranging. The front of the unit is also an easy wipe clean material.

The unit is white (refused to pay £30 extra for some silver spray paint) and looks like all other fridge/freezer unit but is smart enough and the front door feels sturdy and robust. There is a single temp control (thermostat) in the fridge compartment but we have left it as it was and it seems cool enough. The unit took no setting up at all and I only glanced at the instructions for the 1st time to see if there were any stats I could put in this Op.

Cant complain about this purchase at all, seems good vaqlue for money and so far has been nothing but reliable.
