My husband and I bought this cooker 16 months ago and have recently had several replacement parts. The cooker has not been fixed, so, for over a month now, we have only had use of two and a half rings and part of the grill. Although insured, we have just been advised that we have to pay towards delivery and installation of a new cooker. We have not accepted the offer of a replacement C60EKS!
The clock is so sensitive that you just brush against it and it changes the time. The timer goes off even when it has not been set.
The nobs for the rings, grill and ovens are laid out in a row, and it is difficult to see which nob controls which ring. You find yourself turning on/off the wrong ring.
When my cooker failed, I heard 3 small bangs and a smell of burning. I immediately lost the use of both my ovens and the back right hob ring. The next day I lost the use of half of the front double hob ring, the following day I lost the use of half of the double grill. The part grill is not functioning all the time . Some of the ring nobs now seem to control the main oven light, when the door is open. The cooker parts are connected - when one fails it affects others which also fail.
Two engineers from Hotpoint have been unable to fix the cooker. I have been waiting a month, over Christmas and New Year, for parts and have now been told that the cooker has been deemed 'beyond economical repair'.
