Advantages: Cheap, reliable, and good warranty from Canon. Disadvantages: One disadvantage, its a little on the large side but this is not really very important. Also scanner cartridges are quite expensive.

The printer itself firstly looks good, as far as printers go. It is very quick on printing, especially in the 'draft' mode, and quality of almost all my printouts have been second to none. The Canon BJC-2000 is very easy to use, and loading ink cartidges only takes a matter of seconds!
The printer can fit about 60-70 sheets in it's autofeeder altogh Canon only says 50. The printer has a good buffer memory, compared to many other printers I have had, and also comes with all the relevant software that you need, including extra 'bonus' software from Canon.

This printer is a great little buy. It offers reliability, an attractive design and also being a Canon gives you the reassurance that any faults will be sorted out in the minimum time, absoloutely hassle-free. The printer itself firstly looks good, as far as printers go. It is very quick on printing, especially in the 'draft' mode, and quality of almost all my printouts have been second to none. I regulary use its 'photoprinting' feature, and, although its rather slow in this respect, the picture quality is almost perfect and comparable to photoprocessing labs. To make maximum use of the photoprinting I would reccomend using 'glossy' paper. Many people don't realise this, but the Canon BJC-2000 can also act as a scanner! The results sre not as good as many purpose built scanners, but as an extra feature for a low - usage user it is excellent. Also, the printer is great for those on a budget. I am a student, and bought the printer for £39.99, expecting much less for the pricetag. However, it beats many £100 printers I have come across, and is great for the purposes I intended it for. The ink cartridges themselves are very cheap too- I recently purchased 6 for £16 and these were Canon originals! All in all, I would recommmend this printer who people who are after a good, reliable and cheap printer, especially to my fellow students.
Advantages: Cheap, separate ink catridges Disadvantages: They don't contain much ink!
...I own a Canon BJC-2000. It came in a package with the computer I purchased, although I have seen them in the shops for around £55. The first feature I niticed, which I thought was quite novel, was that the ink cartridge has two separte tanks, one for black ink and one for colour printing. I had not seen this before and think it is a very good feature, especially for a printer in this price range. The main advantage is that you don't have to keep ... ...cheap too. Although the "official" canon versions are around £8 for the black tank and £17 for the colour one, I have found you can buy own brand cartridges (WHSmith, PC World etc.) for around £5 for the black tank and only £8 for the colour tank, quite a significant saving, and WHSmith always seem to have a 3 for 2 offer on ink cartidges, so you can save even more money! Obviously as the cartridge has two ink tanks, each tank is smaller and holds ...

The Canon BJc-2000 has a seperate colour and black cartridge although I have not yet worked out how to set it to print in colour if the black cartridge has run out. The cartridges are not refillable, at least that is what the manufacturer says but with a little hole drilling they can be successfully refilled at an eigth of the price of a new one.
I would definately buy another because it is good value for money and the print ...

I have used a canon 2000 series printer for sometime now and I have never had a serious problem. For some reason, unknown to me, they do not seem to be the most popular of printers and I wonder whether it is just a question of marketing.
For me they are one of the simplest in design and use. Reasonable on ink consumption. Not the most costly by far. Very reliable. Simply to use, and to refill if you do that sort of thing. Yes, I have used other ... ...can only imagine they have such a stake in th market is because of advertising successfully and doing doing cheap deals on computer packages.
I recently upgraded my 2400 to a BJC 6000 which provides amongst other things even better ink cartridges. I cannot see myself changing brands from experience and what I here from other people and their 'superior' models. ...

Advantages: Price, size Disadvantages: Not wonderful quality for pictures/drawings on normal paper
I decided to buy this printer because I wanted a piece of equipment that won't leave me feeling cheated at the price I paid when it dies in 3 years time. 3 years being the average lifetime of an inkjet. I only had to pay about £70 and I got all the leads drivers etc. that you expect - but not always supplied. I'm used to dealing with computers but it's hardly a problem for anyone at all - they're pretty much all the same, plug it in, install drivers ... ...Its quite small and with a vertical paper feeder I was able to fit it into a pretty small space at the end of my desk.
Print quality in black and white is excellent, certainly more than adequate for your average letter writing. Large patches of colour tend to show banding (determinable lines in printed area) so I wouldn't suggest it for any high quality photo work. To be fair I used 'normal' paper; better paper may well have shown better results. ...

Advantages: Cheap, good print quality, software driver, cheap cartridges, can print impressive photos. Disadvantages: No Parallel or USB cable supplied
My cannon printer came free with my new computer and so far I havent had many problems with it.
It was easy to set up and has a helpful CD ROM user guide, the print quality isnt excellent but fairly good. (Good enough for me). The cartridges are exceptionally cheap and i think the cheapest on the market which is good for a Student like me living on a budget.

I am so impressed with the printer that I have even been printing high quality photos and large media files. This, for me put me in a bad mood as after spening large amount of money on the new package I had to go out and ...

I use it for Canon PIXMA IP1500 ptinter. It is very easy to install and check ink status. It contains three colors: cyan, magenta, and yellow. I mainly use it to print photos. It produces very wonderful color.
If you use above types of Canon printers, try this color cartridge. You will like it. ...

It prints up to 2880 dpi, a higher resolution than any of the other printers I was looking at, and while I won’t use this resolution very often (it uses shed loads of ink!) it’s nice to have the flexibility of this resolution if I need it.
When I had some test pages printed it seemed a fast printer for the price, certainly a lot faster that the CanonBJC-2000 I have been using. The difference is especially notable when printing at higher resolutions and in colour. The manufacturer claims it will print up to 8 pages of text a minute in draft mode. I’ve never managed to get it to print quite that fast, but it’s still fast enough for my needs.
The 680 has two print heads so you can have a black cartridge and a colour cartridge in use simultaneously. This saves a lot of messing about changing printer ...
If capability were directly proportionate to printer size, the BJC-2000 would be one heck of a big machine.
