This printer is now lagging behind the latest models. For standard black & white printing it does the job but if you want big high quality colour printouts then forget it. This printer won’t deliver that. It does not simply deliver the quality to make a decent colour image. For small clip-art type areas it is fine but if you want A4 photographs then this printer is a definite no-no. It is simple to setup, as is any printer thanks to Windows’ ‘plug-n-play’ technology. The Canon driver software is useful and contains various settings to play about with your final print. The cartridges are quite small and run out very quickly but don’t worry, they are pretty cheap to replace. If you’re buying a printer now I would recommend something from Hewlett Packard’s range, not from Canon’s.
