This printer is perfect for home, school or small office use, with its economical ink system and network connectivity option. The BJC-6000 Series outputs color and black prints at 1440 x 720 dpi resolution, at up to 6 ppm color, 9 ppm black. With an expanded print nozzle system, it prints an area twice as large in one pass for increased print speed without decreased print quality. The installed black and color cartridges have replaceable ink tanks to replace only the color that is out, and optical low-ink sensors warn of low levels for timely refills. An optional Photo BJ cartridge adds photo-quality print capabilities for professional brochures, greeting cards or other high-quality graphics. This printer has a large-sheet paper tray, and prints on media up to legal size, plus banners. Use plain and specialty papers, envelopes, cards and transparencies.

Noise is an area in which the BJC-3000 scores well. Although it tends to wake up and run a head cleaning cycle unexpectedly every now and again, it is not too annoying to listen to in use. The printer is also relatively compact and easy on the eye.
Installation wasn't trouble free. In the installation documentation there is a warning that the Windows 98 USB configuration procedure could get stuck. That's exactly what happened with us. An experienced Windows 98 user would be able to fix the problem very quickly and the warning document had clear advice how to fix the problem. However, the user shouldn't really be allowed to get into trouble in the first place.

...The CannonBJC 4200 was a fairly good printer in its time. Now a days as newer models have been produced, it is falling well below standards. The quality of the print out is not particularly high quality and tends to be fairly slow. The ink cartridges need to be replaced regularly, which could be a problem if you have a large document to print out. However newer models from cannon are up to date and meet all modern specifications. I wouldn’t recommend this printer to you, instead go for a newer model....

...We have got the CanonBJC 4100 at home. This printer is old, but not too old. There is a Button for "Power" and another Button for "Resume" and there are two ligths for "Power on" and for "Error".
There are two arts for cartridges for the "COLOR BUBBLE JET PRINTER":
colored and black-and-white.
The colored cartridges are expensive, of course, but not too expensive.
The Canon print fast, I think and for my requirements is he enough.
You can put thin pages and thick pages in it.
But if you have this printer and if you print much, you must buy a new better printer.
