I had this printer for about 2 years before I upgraded to the Epson R200.
It was bought in PC World about 3 years ago and was the upgrade for my very battered and expensive to run Epson 460. This printer was also on special offer as it had been separated by the scanner that should have been with it, therefore I think I only paid £20 for it, but it had no ink. At the time I only needed a basic printer that could print in black for my coursework. I was also not doing very much demanding colour printing at the time so the 2400x1200 dpi was perfect. I just thought that I was recieving a bargain. At this point I did not know how big a bargain it was. I went up to get the ink for it and was suprised to find out that the 2 cartridges that was needed for it were less that what I was paying for 1 epson cartridge. I believe the black was £5.99 and the colour was £11.99. I pursuaded PC World to discount the cartridges a little bit as well. I think the printer cos about £28 all together. The printer was then becoming the best bargain I had every come across.
Got it home and it installed easily and quickly. As my printer did not have any manuals, these were easily got off the canon website.
