How pleased I am to have finally found a digital camera which gives a more than decent battery life. My latest camera, the Canon 300D is a Digital SLR, and uses the CanonBP511 Battery, which is simply outstanding when it comes to juice usage! The battery is also suitable for other equipment, more on that later.
It's all too easy for the manufacturers these days to quote this and that figure when it comes to battery life, when in reality you rarely get half that, tempting you to buy more batteries, and possibly more chargers too. Thankfully Canon's claims on the life of the BP511 are pretty darm spot on.

having recently bought this battery for my camera, i can safely say, it is the best camera bettery i have had so far. I use my camera vertually all day every day so therefore, i obviously go through many, many betteries. This has proved a problem to me but now that i have found the canon NB lithiumIon battery, i see my problems at an end. it has allowed me to create, manage and share my images and information more efficently 'for sure'. i cannot specifically think why this bettery would be any better than the others but something about it just seems so good. i would reccomend not just this battery, but cannon also, fo those who are looking for long lasting, lithiumion batteries for their canon or other brand, product. ...

This battery pack came with my Canon MVX300 camcorder, and it gives me around 2 hours recording time. Now, with multiple charges and uses, I noticed that the battery packs recording time was slowly getting shorter and shorter with each use. Considering that we have been to many weddings, birthday parties and christenings, the camcorder has had loads of use. I'm surprised it's even lasted this long to be honest.
I didn't want to throw away a perfectly working camcorder, just because the battery was getting worn out, so I took a trip down to my local Jessops, in hope of finding a new one. Unfortunately for me, they didn't actually have one in stock at that time. So my friendly sales assistant suggested that I tried their website.
