this is a briiliant camera if you wish to become a professional camera man or woman. its the industry favourite and its lightweight and easily protable. It is easy to set up just white balance then point and shoot. It can be connected to a monitor and also external microphones and lights can be attached to it. i am a proffessional camera woman and would not be without my canon as it far excideds other competitors in terms of picture quality and ease of use. i have had my canon xl1 for 6 years and its still as good as the day i brought it i brought the canon xl2 last year and it is just the same high quality.
