Advantages: Extremely good image quality Disadvantages: very slow
When I bought this scanner a few years ago it was quite expensive at more than £700 although at the time scanners of this resolution were in general even more expensive. It is quite an old design and most likely now to be found only on the second-hand market, but due to it's sturdy construction could make a sensible second-hand purchase when compared to the relatively cheap and cheerful scanners available now. Advantages: Scans slides 35mm and APS Disadvantages: Slightly tricky on first instal
I have thousands of photographs mounted on slides which I needed to scan in to digital form. I am not part of a professional studio so found this to be a good price at the time. £700 but you can get it for £400 now. It is great for its powerful features like reducing alot of the scratches on these slides.
It can be quite tedious as it will only do batches of 4 slides or 6 negatives at a time although unless you are time restricted it is not such ...
