Advantages: Bargain price- affordable, thin, great design, take up no space at all :) Disadvantages: USB 1.1 connection limits scan speed
...your solution: This great Canon scanner scans good quality images and yet it is not expensive at all, and is suitable for both Windows and Mac users. You're probably wandering what the catch is, and you're right there is one. This scanner is relatively slow at scanning images into the computer - and that is all - that's the catch. Pathetic really, when you think about it. The preview scan time takes approximately 16 seconds so a normal scan, depending ... ...impatient person.
Canon is a well known adn respectable company and i would never expect them to bring out a rubbish product so you can totally rely on them. This scanner is awesome - hardly take up and room at all on my computer desk and it's a flatbed scanner meaning that it is flat surprisingly, and really is slim. The previous scanner that i had was a ridiculous 6 centimetres thick but this one is a mere 3.8cm. Canon have been great for releasing ...

Advantages: Sooooo many features Disadvantages: None that I can think of
We use the CanoScan Lide 25 (which I'll refer to as Lide 25 from now on) at work and a handy little scanning tool it is indeed. It's very slim and lightweight and sits nicely on my desk, ready to jump into action whenever I need to scan a document or photo. You can copy directly from the platen (glass screen) to your printer or print or even email and it's very easy to set up. AN ABUNDANCE OF FEATURES

The software that comes with the scanned allows you to scan documents to PDF too and you choose whether you want them in colour or monochrome or select the image quality you want from 75, 100, 200, 250, 300 or 400 ...

Advantages: Good quality scanning, No need for external power supply. Disadvantages: Can be a little slower using high resolution settings.
If you are looking for ease of use, then this is the one for you! One of the main advantages of this particular scanner is the slimmer design over others on the market. scan quality is outstanding and fairly quick. One of the other useful features is the software supplied by Cannon allowing you to do a variety of adjustments to your image BEFORE sending it to your PC. Another useful feature is the scanners ease of integration into everyday programmes ... ...over some of its rivals is that the system is entirely powered by the USB cable eliminating the need for extra power sockets. This unit is not the cheapest on the on the market or the dearest, but as a mid-range unit the LiDE25 offers excellent value for money in terms of price verses features and overall performance. ...
