The Canon DC 311 camcorder is indeed an incredible value for money with a whole lot of features available and that too easy to use. The 41x optical zoom is one of the salient features of this camcorder and even at higher zoom, the movie is pretty stable. The audio quality of recording is digital and absolutely clear. There are a host of features both for an amature as well as professional recording person. In the professional mode there are features available like recording on the beach, ice, fireworks, night vision and so on. The aesthetic looks are good and the body is pretty rugged. I'd once dropped it by mistake but there was not much of an aesthetic damage. The battery life is pretty reasonable.
