Canon DCC-60 Soft case Digital photo camera

Advantages: for models A710IS/A540/A530
Disadvantages: not for model A640

...In relation to the previous review the reviewer said their camera was a A640 and it didn't fit properly so they bought the DCC-300. I have a canon brochure 2006/07 and this states the DCC-300 is for the powershot A640/A630 whereas teh DCC-80 is for powershot A710IS/A540/A530. Haven't got either the case or camera yet but have been perusing cases as am thinking of getting the A710IS camera. Ratings below average purely to get this posted to provide this additional information for you. Now I find that the above is insufficient number of words to get this piece of information posted so am writing this drivle in the hope of getting to the necessary 120 words ..oops still too short another seven words required apparently!... ...This is a good quality product that offers good value for money in the very short term. Although as with most products of this type, the value will deteriorate over time and should be able to get a cheaper version next year. It's a great device with plenty of features that I would highly recommend. This really is a wonderful piece of kit that should go well with many accessories because it really looks good. After using this product for a few months I have not so far come up against any reliability issues but only time will tell. I therefore would recommend the product. This case was bought in Curry's for £20 Overall I would recommend this case if you want to keep your camera clean and scratch free.... Read review

Advantages: Small, cute and take great photos
Disadvantages: LCD screen is too small.

...Had the camera for about six months now and I honestly can't complain about anything (well nearly..) It takes great photos in all conditions and is very easy to use. It can be set to fully auto or you can set it to manual and do more creative photography. It is a lovely size and the build is very good. I have a slight concern over the battery/SD card slot; it's made of plastic and feels cheap compared to the rest of the camera, although it hasn't snapped off yet! The small screen is the biggest issue, if it was a bit bigger this camera would be perfect. Canon have rectifyed this in the latest version the Ixus 55. The metal case can get scratched so get a Canon DCC - 60 case. The screen is very scratch resistent indeed. Overall recommended if you can't stretch to the new Ixus 55 which addresses the only issue which is the screen... Read review
