Advantages: High quality record and playback settings, very easy to use and a great zoom.
Disadvantages: Battery runs down quite qucikly, therefore alot fo charging is needed.

...I purchased the Canon DC 40 because it seemed like a very high quality camcorder, which was easy to use and allowed me to captire all those wonderful moments on film. I wasn't far wrong because i have found the Canon DC 40 to be a worthwhile purchase. At first it took me a while to read through the manual and to fully understand how to operate the camcorder, however reading the manual is appropriate because it does help you to fully operate the Canon DC 40 and get the full potential out of it. Graphically it is a good solid camcorder and it has a good zoom which holds the image in good quality. It also takes photos of a good standard and has a good memory in which to store these photos. Its playback capabilities are very good and easy to access. If i were to knock it in any way it would be that its battery runs down very quickly... Read review

...If you want a simple to use camera then this is the one. It covers everything from point and go, to being more adventurous. prices have significantly dropped for this unit and if you shop around prices are as low as £250. I purchased one of these units in January and found it to have a remarkable picture quality. The advantages of the DC100 are its ease of use and its ability to record in true wide-screen. It should be noted that other products on the market may display a wide screen picture, but the recording is actually done in standard format. Another useful feature is a variable zoom speed, which can be set via 3 different pre-set speeds or a user variable speed. The pre set speeds can be useful if you tend to be a little heavy handed. ...This adapter gives us wider options to use add on lens or filter .Gives options to mount macro, wide and teleconverter add on lens with 52mm. Very easy to carry and very light weight. I have used with Canon Powershot A 520 working fine.This adapter is an inexpensive item. So I can attach this adapter (LA-DC52F) to my camera, and I can have more photographic freedom with lenses, for a less money. Its good thing from canon to introduce such a product. Gives a flexibility using 52mm filter size. This most common size and gives us options to mount a large number of color filters or teleconverter lens or macro lens.
