If you have or are considering buying this Canon DC50 Camcorder, I recommend you seriously consider buying this fantastic model. It has only been out on the market since March of this year and having owned an older Canon camcorder model, this new edition is an excellent improvement. I prefer the Canon make and have other Canon products as I feel the overall technology and service provided on-line is second to none. The camcorder is a 5.39 Megapixel DVD camcorder with DIGIC DV II, it has got a 10x zoom lens and OIS, which delivers superb picture quality. It has a longer battery life and a DVD-R Dual Layer in turn offers extended recording time. The features and technology that come with the Canon DC-50 are: -5.39MP CCD and RGB Primary Colour Filter -10x optical zoom with Super Range OIS (Optical Image Stabilizer )- Developed for High Definition. -DVD-R DL and longer battery life -DIGIC DV II -True widescreen -Quick Start -Advanced photography -Auto lens cover and flash -MiniSD card compatible -PictBridge
The model comes with direct-to-DVD recording with an RGB Primary Colour Filter. The Optical Image Stabilizer eliminates vibrations whilst with a lower power consumption so you wont run out of battery half way through recording anything. An optional high capacity battery pack is also included if you wish which I do recommend. The DIGIC DV II in the camcorder provides great colour reproduction and a reduction in the noise produced, this is very useful. You can also make still pictures whilst taking the video as you use the five megapixel photo so the camcorder can also be used as a camera as well which is the same technology found in an ordinary high-tec camera. The recordings are recorded in widescreen in 16:9 via the 2.7" widescreen LCD. A tip to note is to extend the battery life in your camcorder, use the widescreen 0.27" colour Electronic Viewfinder. When you turn on the camcorder, press quick start and from standby you can record immediately from pressing just one button. The camcorder has built in flash for digital photography, the same as found in a camera for those still pictures. In a way, this camcorder takes away the need and use of an ordinary camera as it does two jobs in one. It has a built-in automatic cover meaning that it’s always protected whether being used or not. The digital photographs can be stored on MiniSD cards but can also be recorded onto a disc. PictBridge allows prints to be printed to a printer with ease. You can buy this camcorder through any on-line retailer like dixons, pc world and also through Canon and are priced in the region of £450 I hope you have found my review to have been of some use, please rate my review and leave any comments you feel are necessary.
