Canon DIGITAL IXUS 900 TI

Advantages: Screen Size, Build Quality, pictures

There are already two reviews this is meant more of a recap on some of my own experience upgrading from an older model version. I bought the IXUS 900ti from a local dealer as a replacement for my rather ancient IXUS 330. It is quite a revelation the technology has moved on an awful lot in 3 years. The controls are situated on the right hand side to operated by your right thumb. Having used Canon products before with both digital cameras and camcorders, I expected the same attention to quality that I've had before - and Canon produced it yet again! ...is ok, but not outstanding. Canon expect you to use the digital zoom or the macro in conjunction with the 10 MP - not ideal, but it's ok. The other is a the very underwieght 32MB card supplied - I ordered a 1GB card which can host 250 pictures at 10MP in addition, but it adds to the cost as does the fact a case is extra on top. Disadvantages: Not much!

This is now the second Canon IXUS digital camera I have now owned, and I cannot recommend this range of cameras enough! The first one was the 4.0megapixel IXUS purchased 3 and half years ago, and I have never had any reliability problems with it. I expect this model to be no different. ...has been back to the Canon service centre 5 TIMES for repair. The first time it was returned to the Canon service centre it was lost it all together. They replaced it but that is when all my troubles began! Five times it has been back to Canon at Elstree!!!
