Advantages Excellent lense quality with a small, sexy design
Disadvantages no viewfinder
I have been using and selling canon cameras now for more than 6 years, and I have to say this is my favourite ixus model to date. One of the smallest cameras in its class, it can turn heads with its looks and its results.
Much improved on the older version, this model has 4 mega pixels, which is more than enough for A4 printing and smaller. A large LCD screen on this camera makes it much easier to compose and review your shots. This model comes with an average 3X optical zoom, but to be honest you will not find a bigger zoom in such a small design. All the basic features which you would expect from in this price range but in the smallest, sexiest design I have seen yet. This camera could not be easier to use either, from basic point and shoot, to selecting pre-program modes such as landscape, portrait and macro (close-up). The video mode on this model (which also has sound) is very good quality and can be viewed comfortably on a large screen TV. The zoon control being situated on the shutter button also makes this much easier to operate and more comfortable to hold.
The results from this camera are exactly what you would expect from canon, excellent. With vibrant colour definition and crystal clear focusing you would have difficulty not being impressed with the prints. The only problem I have found with this model is its lack of a viewfinder, which is becoming more and more common with new models from every manufacturer. For most people this will not be a problem. however it is very hard to see the LCD screen if standing in direct sunlight, but to keep a camera this small, there has to be compromises.
Quite possibly, canon's best digital camera to date.

Actually this camera DOES have a viewfinder. It's not huge, but the camera is tiny.
