Had the camera for about six months now and I honestly can't complain about anything (well nearly..)
It takes great photos in all conditions and is very easy to use. It can be set to fully auto or you can set it to manual and do more creative photography.
It is a lovely size and the build is very good. I have a slight concern over the battery/SD card slot; it's made of plastic and feels cheap compared to the rest of the camera, although it hasn't snapped off yet!
The small screen is the biggest issue, if it was a bit bigger this camera would be perfect. Canon have rectifyed this in the latest version the Ixus 55.
The metal case can get scratched so get a Canon DCC - 60 case. The screen is very scratch resistent indeed.
Overall recommended if you can't stretch to the new Ixus 55 which addresses the only issue which is the screen size.
