After my previous camera was stolen this camera was the replacement I had to get after claiming on my insurance. At first I was quite reluctant about getting a new camera as I had grown so fond of the previous Canon model I owned. When I saw this camera for the first time I was amazed at how good it looked with its brushed aluminium look and 3.0" Display.

- Usage -
I personally feel that because of the high resolution large screen the pictures you see on the screen are very nearly as good as the pictures you will when you transfer them onto your computer. I have found that in the past I have seen digital cameras that have let me down due to the poor quality LCD.
This camera is packed full of brilliant features. The Face Detection seems to be very accurate and helps focus in on those smiley faces in your pictures. Furthermore, the 3x zoom will not let you down either, keeping those long distance images nice and crisp.
For those of you that like to film instead of take pictures this camera has a video mode which is even equipped with time lapse. Using time lapse you are able to film scenes like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UrGcd6PN7EE I have found this great fun, you can really see a different perspective of the world around us.
The camera will work in manual mode for those of you who like to choose your own iso settings etc... For those who would rather just point and shoot this camera will also suit you just fine with it's simple menu containing specific scene settings.
- Faults -
The only fault I have with this camera is that it can be sometimes difficult to press the correct part of the H-shaped selection buttons on the back of the camera. I really must stress though that this really is a minor problem and does not bring the rating of this camera down at all.
- Verdict -
I really doubt that many point and shoot cameras come close to this model nowadays. I can assure you that you will not be disappointed with what this camera has to offer. We were so impressed with the camera in my family, that my sister now owns the same model.
Summary: This camera could never dissapoint anyone - Superb!
