for standard use, setting the camera on 2-3 mp and then snap away at your hearts desire, the 7mp is only used for a huge scene and you want to zoom in when offloading the pictures to a computer.
The I7 is made ... ...out at "kodak" moments to snap away. It surely is small enough to fit into a guys pocket for a night out.
Has a nice feel to it, as it is all made form metal.
Flaws,
-the screen is rather small. but you're going to be looking at the pictures at home Anyway!,
-there is no view finder, so when you're low on battery you can't take 1 last picture.

The I7 is made to be a pocket camera, so it can be pulled out at "kodak" moments to snap away. It surely is small enough to fit into a guys pocket for a night out. Has a nice feel to it, as it is all made form metal.
Flaws, -the screen is rather small. but you're going to be looking at the pictures at home Anyway!, -there is no view finder, so when you're low on battery you can't take 1 last picture. -The flash isn;t that strong, so pitch black scenes won;t be illuminated well. -Not much of a zoom, digital zoom doens;t count as "zoom"
In all this camera is great, you get what you see. Remember it is a small camera, and all the functions are scaled down. It holds good battery life (i think i got 300 shots before it died on me)
For the price it comes with, which i paid 200 on the dot with a 1 gb memory card. It sure is a bargain

Quick review of Canon Digital IXUS I7 zoom
Bought for my daughter's 16th - worked for about 3 months, now switches off as soon as you press the shutter. No problem with battery - checked, changed, all other functions fine. Just won't take pictures - rather basic problem for a camera.

This is a truly brilliant product with a 7.1 mega pixel resolution which therefore makes for brilliant quality photographs. It also has an automatic viewfinder meaning that it focuses itself and then makes a noise once it is focused. It has three modes, a Play mode where you can watch any videos you have recorded etc, a Video mode so that you can shoot videos and a camera mode for when you want to take still photos. One downfall is that the memory ... ...meaning that you may want to buy a memory card seperately. A great feature of the camera that is good for myself is that you can automatically remove red eye from your photos. It does not come with any sort of case which therefore means if you are not careful you could easly scratch your camera, The zoom is brilliant and extremely easy to use.

This is the exact camera that i am the proud owner of.
If anyone is thinking of buying a camera then this is the one.
I have never owned my own digital camera before and thought that if i wanted one that had a decent resolution and great features, then i would have to fork out a load of money.
But as i walked through the door of my local jessops, i was greeted with a smile and was asked if i was looking for anything inpaticular. I said to the ... ...length specifically for an art project that i was working on. He didnt even spend time showing me any of the digital SLR's that were worth well over £1000, he took me straight to the IXUS I7 i fell in love with it the moment i saw it.
He exclaimed to me that everyone else that worked in jessops owned there own I7.
He then showed me photos that had been taken by people there. and to be honest with you they were of amazing quality.

Advantages: 7.1 mega pixel for brilliant prints and a Vertical shutter release for portrait orientationshooting Disadvantages: the screen size may be a bit too small
canon may have taken a big leap to this marvelous product with esy to use fatures that cancel out the small screen size. It also has a brilliant 7.1 mega pixel resolution this allow the consumer to take brilliant pictures. the availability of this camera in different colours makes it available for both genders. this magnificent device also has to offer a 14 scene mode. the big downfall for this product is that canon do not currently have a carriage ... ...scratched but if taken good care of this can be avoided. if you like shooting videos then this digital camera would be the best for you, though it produces still image quality and if you are not too fussed about it you may just like this camera a bit too much. ...
