This is on of canon's smallest digital cameras and it's a bit of a stunner, remindind us of the excitement we felt when the brand launched the first APS lxus. This one is considerably more powerful: a 3.2 megapixel CCD gives it a maximum image resolution of 2048*1536. It also has Canon's smallest retractable 28 optical zoom lens, and id the first Canon camera to use SD memory cards. The battery has ever been made smaller but still preforms better than most previous models. As befits a tiny point-and-shoot device, most of the camera setting is automatic: the outlanishly titled 'Intelligent Scene Analysis based on Photograpkic Space' (iSAPS) technology does all the hard graft before you've even fully pressed the shutter button.
