The Canon IXUS iZoom has an inbuilt excellent 5 megapixal CCD that will allow the user to enlarge their images up to A3 size retaining crystal clear quality.
The camera houses a 1.8-inchLCD display which is ideal for viewing back the photos you have just taken. The unit has a 2.4x zoom and a combined 10x optical/digital zoom
The camera has 16 scene modes that allow the user to refine the shots they have taken. The scene modes include sports, and underwater. The IXUS also has built in editing functions such as red eye reduction. It sports an insanely wide range of pre and post-capture options, allowing infinite levels of customisation and perfection of your images.
The camera is USB 2.0 compatible and comes with a very small 16mb SD card. I recommend you upgrade the card to at least 256mb to get the most out of your camera. I purchased a 2Gb card that can hold over 600 of the cameras very finest quality snaps. And we're talking pretty excellent quality.
In the box you get, the camera, a strap, a 16mb SD card, rechargeable lithium battery, a power adaptor, an AV cable, a docking station and a USB cable. The camera is extremely impressive with little weight (120g) and very stylish design. The camera produces very impressive results both from still images and movie clips, with which it captures excellent audio also.
The only downsides I can see are that the optical zoom could be greater - ironic considering the name of the camera and the camera must be in the docking station to be connected to either the mains power for charging, a PC, or a AV device (such as a TV). However I am reluctant to mention any faults as I want you to buy this camera. It makes me so happy. I promise you won't regret it.
