First off I am a keen photographer and this is my second SLR camera, the first being the Olympus E-410.
Ease of Use : This camera has to be one of the easiest to use in the world, the menus are easy to understand and the buttons are clearly labeled, after using I feel that it is defiantly a beginners SLR, as the smaller and cheaper E-410 I had before was a bit more difficult to use (although maybe it was just made to be overly complicated), anyway I feel that this camera would be perfect of both a beginner or an experienced photographer.
Look, Design: Although slightly bulky this has to be one of the nicest looking SLR's available, I really like the matt black effect as apposed to the usual shiny looking cameras. The 2.5" screen on the back of it is amazing, its very high quality and makes photos look brilliant, this camera also has the add feature of having LiveView, which in my experience isn't much use, but it makes taking sunsets a lot safer.
Quality of Photos: This is where this camera comes into a league of its own, although the same as my previous SLR at 10.1 Megapixel, this image quality is much better, it really is worth paying that bit extra for a top quality brand like Canon, along with the benefits this bring of having a much vaster range of accessories. If anybody wants to see examples of images taken with this camera, then send me a message.
Value for Money As the title suggests from my point of view this camera is an absolute bargain for your money, from argos where I got it from, it cost £350ish which seemed pretty reasonable for what you were getting.
