I have owned my 10D for 10 months and during that time I have used it in most conditions and for most types of photography. It is without doubt a robust and generally well built camera. However if like me, your decision to purchase is based on the fact that you can use all your old EOS lenses, you should note that not ALL EOS lenses do in fact work with this model (I think it would be best to take your existing lenses to the dealer and check yourself!) also EOS fit sigma lenses can need to be re-chipped. Once you have established which of your lenses DO work, you then have to take into account that because the 10D has a small sensor array the effective length of your lenses is multiplied by 1.6 (thus your favorite 28mm wide angle is now a not so useful 44.8mm! and your nice 300mm telephoto has magically become 480mm and can no longer be used hand held!...of course none of this applies to the purpose built cannon digital EOS lenses which are fabulous! overall I would recomend the 10D but I do wish the screen was a bit, bigger, faster, more etc. and that the on/off switches were a little more user friendly. So like my old headmaster used to put on MY reports... 8/10 but could try harder!

Advantages: Image quality, handling, speed of operation, flexibility of controls, build quality, extensive system, exceptional long exposures Disadvantages: No memory card included (that's how far I am reaching on this one...)

Advantages: Canon EOS 20D has a beautiful SLR design. So, it is simply amazing. Disadvantages: The cost can be considered to be one but the camera is a great buy
