On occasions where I cover sporting events, I have found that despite playing with a number of different focussing modes on the 1D, I get better focussing accuracy when using ... ...of wedding and event photographers.
I love the results I have created with this masterpiece at the top end of Canon's DSLR's. It's a heavy bit of kit, but the weight appears to be relative to the quality of build in digital photography. It's certainly appears to be a robust bit of kit.

I decided to wait for 4 months after the purchase of this camera before reviewing it because I had coveted one for so long, that I thought there would be too much bias in my words if I wrote about it as soon as it was out of the box. It's taken a few weddings and other events for me to be able to best comment on all the things that makes this such a great camera.
We're now almost at video speed capture with this 10 frames per second and it purrs when you're in this mode because the shutters open and shut with such rapid fire that it's like a professional gambler fanning her deck of cards. OK that's the flowery bit over.
What I love best is shooting in low but natural lighting conditions. The ISO 3200 setting allows for incredible detail to be captured in low light and with equally, nay spectacularly low noise. On occasions where I cover sporting events, I have found that despite playing with a number of different focussing modes on the 1D, I get better focussing accuracy when using the 20D and 5D models, both used by our team of wedding and event photographers.

I hate it when people get greedy and thoughtless.
All in all, the camera is fun to use and it takes great pictures. What on earth are cameras for other than that?

Advantages: Everything but one Disadvantages: Heavy device and abit chunky
In my prestegious efforts to find the best digital cameras on the market, i found many contenders for best, but after alot of research, i concluded that this was the best, and here is why. My old camera is seeing the best of my cupboard nowadays, now that this is within arms reach; I take it everywhere i go and has earned a place in my backpack along with my phone and wallet as the 10.1 mega pixel monster unleashes it's flash with a hearty tone which ... ...and is perfect for those picture moments when used with its multi picture option. I used it on my holiday to Barcelona a couple months back and I returned home with some quality pictures. Although it is slightly on the heavy/chunky side and may not be suitable for people who prefer lighter/smaller cameras, from my it is excellent for keen photogrophers and is probably the best digicam about. Buy one, nothing to loose. ...

Nikon managed to protect very well the two projects (D3 and D300), the first information that predicted the appearance of D300, where published on the Internet just 24 hours before the official release date.
D300 is a giant in technology (photo-technology)by now and needs a little more attention. In fact, D300 represents the new reference point in the professional zone of digital photography.
The only aspect, at which Nikon looses in front of Canon, is the number of megapixels.
If D300 offers 12.1 MP (4256x2232 pixels), Canon with his EOS-1Ds MarkIII rises the record at 21 MP. It seems that even Canon has kept secret this model, or else, Nikon could have made up something like a resolution sensor (maybe better that Canon). But this a part of the gigantic marketing ideas.
Anyway, it was a huge surprise for all of us to find ...
