I am just starting out in photography and trying to find the right camera was a mine field, but i opted for the canon eos 300 and i am so happy with it, it is very easy to use and the photos i have taken are briiliant, its very light weight and fantastic value for money.

When i brought it it didnt come with a lense but i have found the lenses are easy to come across and they are not that expensive.

You can either have this camera on a shoot and go mode which includes portrait, landscape, close up, sports and night scene or add a bit of a personal touch with the TV shuuter speed TV stands for Time Value, if you are taking a photo for instance of moving water if you take a picture with a fast shutter speed you will get a clear crisp image of the water and its spray if you take it with a slow shutter speed the water will be more blurred either one is just as good it all depends on the shot you are after, and you could use the AV mode which means aperture value,
i like this one if you are taking a close up of an object or a person turn it to a large aperture and you will get a very clear picture of the image you are taking but the background will apear all blurred,
you can also alter the amount of exposure you have to make things darker or lighter. you can also use red eye decution. Mine came with a full instuction booklet which is very easy to follow.

To fit the film is very easy even someone that knows nothing about cameras can do it.

The first lense i brought was a 35 - 80mm which is a good all rounder.

I have found that that this camera is worth its weight in gold if you want to start out in photography then in my opinon this this the best place to start
