I know by writing this review, canon has just launched their Canon 60D..I needed an extra body to go with my Canon 60D, so after looking on the web, I decided to go for the Canon 30D, now if you remember the Canon 30D is an older unit, it has plenty of use to the newcomer and advanced photographer, i did my first wedding with this camera, the unit gives the photographer stunning images with only 8Mp, the screen does not give enough detail to the images captured, so when people say to you, the photo looks light and rubbish, just wait until you view them on your computer, before deleting any images.
In the box (If buying new)Canon 30D Body
The body itself is made of metal unlike the new canon 60D which is plastic, it shoots in RAW and JPEG modes, the body feels great in the hand, and can get quite heavy after carrying it all the day. The battery life seems fine and can take way over 300 shots before even showing discharge. It lacks the newer features of modern DSLR's such as Live View, Movable Screen, SD Recording Format. But is great for the new comer to Photography.
