I had been looking to upgrade from my trusty compact camera for some time, and after reading numerous reviews on entry level SLRS, I opted for the canon EOS400D and what a good choice it was.

It has everything that you could want for you first SLR, and unless you are a top end professional photographer, this camera will pretty much suit anyone. I find it easy to use, and comes with a user friendly guide. There are several pre set modes and an auto mode as well as the programme and manual mode for when you get more experience and want to enjoy the flexiblilty of altering shutter speeds and aperture size.

It can produce up to 10.2 mega pixels which is more than adequate, and for an entry level SLR, this is a lot higher than others I considered.

The Canon EOS400D has become a bit of a clasic, and I am having so much fun with this camera, I can't see myself updating it in a long time. It is a model that still comes out on top in magazines and consumer panels, and I have to agree. There is nothing that I dislike about this camera.

I am hoping that this camera will help me in my dream to become a professional photographer.
