I purchased this camera after getting into photography using a Fuji 6500FD. I learnt a lot from my first camera and soon realised I needed something more. I decided on a Canon 40D and was not dissapointed. The picture quality is excellent and with a very large range of lenses and users to share their experience and knowledge it has become a great tool for me. The software that comes with this camera is very advanced and allows you to edit Raw images and even have a live view of what you are shooting on your computer screen with on screen camera controls. This was great for someone like me who really loves gadgets. The camera also has a live view 3inch screen on the back which makes manual focusing and taking pictures that are far away easy and great fun. The amount of features on board will keep any amatuer and professional alike busy for a long time to come.
