This camera does everything you want and more, it is extrmemely easy to use and you will find that great pictures can be taken by novices. If you want to have a fully manual camera the options are there and it is fully versatile enabling you to take virtually any type, style or aspect of photography. Although aimed at amateur uses and the price does reflect this, there is no doubt that professional results can be obtained from this camera. The camera body is very lightweight as is the 28-80 lens. The auto exposure settings are excellent for this camera although high contrast shots are hard to gauge accurately and at times bracketing of the shots is needed or over or under exposure but the camera carries this out with ease with an auto-bracketing function. The autofocus is excellect very fast, quiet and accurate. The different fuctions on the dial of the camera offer all the situations that you could possibly find for an SLR camera and more and a fully manual setting should please even the most hardened pro. The price in my opinion is excellent as well and there is no doubt that (well insured and well looked after) it should last a long time into your life.
