This Canon Fax machine is light but bulky...we are all waiting for fast printers, fax machines and copiers that DON'T take up the whole of a table in a limited amount of personal working space. Unfortunately, this takes up the same amount of space as other machines but it's light - but come on, who cares? We don't walk around with the fax machine in our arms, do we?
One plus is that this machine is more powerful than ... ...8 pages per minute, this Canon fax machine does as the specs say.
The machine also holds the capability of picture correction - that is if the paper on the otherside slips and the text may come through distorted - IT WON'T. :) good stuff.
Another excellent feature is that it reliably allows 30 pages to go through the feeder without jamming and so you don't have to stand over it.

One plus is that this machine is more powerful than the HP rival current model...(forgotten the name - but the sales guys in Dixons or Curry's will assist you to compare.)
G3 mean Generation 3 - addapted from mobile jargon probably. This fax machine is "G3" which means the quality of print is superb and fast - this is a little slower than a laser jet printer - however the speed does, of course depend on the receiving/sending fax machine on the other end of the dial up connection.
So, G3 faxes send between 6 - 8 pages per minute, this Canon fax machine does as the specs say.

This thing also has a 340 page memory chip installed - will try that sometime I guess but I don't have any docs that long that I would wish to fax.
Most importantly and a final note : is to say that this fax machine is user-friendly.
