Advantages: Big enough for the average user, strong, comfortable to carry, flexible in use.
Disadvantages: More than one very long super-telephoto lens would be more difficult to accommodate.

Canon gadget bag When I recieved this bag I expected the bag to be slightly bigger than it actually was, but it is very flexible to use and you can fit a surprising amount of gear into it, without it being so big that it is awkward to use. I have two camera bodies, an EOS 40D & an EOS 50D, not the smallest EOS cameras by a long way, and four lenses, a 10-22mm wide angle, a 17-85mm, a 60mm macro and a 70-300mm tele-zoom, plus a few acessories, which all fit quite easily into it, with room for another lens, lenshoods or a flashgun should I need it. The bag is designed so that all your equipment is easily accessible, with everything to hand, and the dividers keep everything in place, so you are not continually searching around for things lost in the corners of the bag, in fact there are no sharp corners inside this bag ...

Canon DCC-90 soft case... A FRAUD!

Advantages: Nice looking, lightweight, has belt loop too
Disadvantages: Canon S5 doesn't fit at all, no extra pockets and too expensive

camera bags are generally expensive and I can justify £15 for a generously-sized generic bag but not for a tight fit lightweight soft case. The problem is the brand. Anything with a brand on it is bound to be extortionate. But it's not just that... GOOD AND BAD I was extremely lucky in finding one on ebay for £2 + £2 P&P and I have to say that under £8 is the price that this soft case deserves. It is just a soft case with "Canon" logo on it. It is padded enough to avoid your monitor being scratched but don't plan on bashing it (or, even worse, drop it) too much as it's just not padded enough to prevent real damages to the camera. What's good is that on the back it has a belt loop so that you can attach the bag with the camera inside safely on your belt. Canon DCC-80 Digital Camera Case

Advantages: Extra compartments for accesories
Disadvantages: Not as padded as other cases

These days, most people own digital cameras. But not everyone owns a decent case to protect it from the knocks and bumps of everyday life. When my friend bought bought her new digital camera (a Canon Powershot A640) a case wasn't supplied, so we embarked on a mission to find a case which could keep her new bundle of joy safe.
