incredible footage via the Canon HD camera system, and then share it quickly and easily. Shooting to SD or SDHC (high capacity) memory cards, the HF100 is an HD camcorder designed for sharing your movies. Cards are great for passing on to family and friends - as card sizes increase, so does your camcorder's capacity. The HF100 is a pocket-sized camcorder with loads of style. And because flash memory has no moving parts, footage is guarded against bumps and knocks. Recording 1920 x 1080 full HD video for superior image quality, the HF100 captures movies that are perfectly suited for watching on Full HD TVs. Enjoy superior quality HD video thanks to a combination of unique Canon technologies: a Canon HD video lens with 12x optical zoom, a 3.3 MP Canon full HD CMOS sensor, and the powerful DIGIC DV II processor. Focusing errors and camera shake are more noticeable when shooting HD. The HF100 uses two systems to give you the edge. Instant AF is a hybrid auto focus system that provides speed and accuracy. The super range optical image stabilizer compensates for common sources of camera shake.

...Since having purchased my IXUS 900ti in Janueray 2007 it has been back to the Canon service centre 5 TIMES for repair.
The first time it was returned to the Canon service centre it was lost it all together.
They replaced it but that is when all my troubles began!
Five times it has been back to Canon at Elstree!!!
Last night 20/10/07 it failed again for the 6th time and I now await the usual padded envelope from Canon to return it yet again.
The lastest fault on screen says "Lens Error"
In the last ten months Canon have had my camera longer than me and I dread to think how much it will cost to repair when the warrenty runs out in a couple months.
i WILL NEVER BY A CANON PRODUCT AGAIN....

Advantages: Size, weight, bright back screen, simple controls Disadvantages: clunky, poor software, small cf card supplied, poor customer service support
...MID RANGE CAMERA, THAT HAS GOOD FEATURES FOR A FAIR PRICE. WHEN PURCHASED PARTS FROM THE BOX MISSING WHEN OPENED, AND TOOK CANON UK 3 MONTHS TO SHIP THE PARTS, AFTER CLAIMING THAT THE PART ( A BATERY COVER DID NOT EXIST).
CONTROLS SIMPLE TO USE, THOUGH BATTERY COVER AND CF COVER NOT WELL BUILT AND WILL FAIL WITH REGUALR USE.
GOOD DESIGN THAT HAS NOT DATED, THOUGH NOT TO THE STANDARD OF THE IXUS OR OLYMPUS MJU, WHICH ARE DATELESS.
OVERALL, A GOOD CAMERA THAT HAS TAKEN SOME GREAT SHOTS BUT HAS NOW BROKEN AFTER LESS THAN 1,000 SHOTS. THE BACKUP SERVICE OFFERED BY CANON FARCICAL AND AFTER HAVING SEVERAL CANON PRODUCTS WOULD NOT BUY AGAIN, THIS COMPARES DRAMITICALLY WITH OLYMPUS WHO HAVE PROVIDED SUPERB SERVICE....

canon Xl2 Review ofCanon XL2 camcorder - Mini DVby

...this is a briiliant camera if you wish to become a professional camera man or woman. its the industry favourite and its lightweight and easily protable. It is easy to set up just white balance then point and shoot. It can be connected to a monitor and also external microphones and lights can be attached to it. i am a proffessional camera woman and would not be without my canon as it far excideds other competitors in terms of picture quality and ease of use. i have had my canon xl1 for 6 years and its still as good as the day i brought it i brought the canon xl2 last year and it is just the same high quality....

I’ve been putting off writing this review for months and months. I’ve been waiting until I know just about as much about the camera as I possibly can, but I’ve come to the conclusion that this will never happen, more
