...I bought an IoMega Ditto 250 drive quite a few years ago and it was the bit of computer equipment that I ever bought. It mangled tapes, didn't back up reliable and hardly ever managed to restore anything.
I had so many problems that I sent the drive back. IoMega replaced it and gave me free tapes to replace the ones that it damaged.
The replacement drive was as bad.
So was the second replacement drive.
And the third.
And the fourth.
In the end to give IoMega credit, they refunded my original price and gave me a fifth drive! I have not installed it.
Given my experience with this, and other tape drives I wouldn't recommend a QIC tape drive to anyone!...

Advantages: Fantastic printer for under £100, Excellent Borderless Photos, Speed, Quiet, Cheap Ink Catridges (Hurrah!) Disadvantages: Design leaves a lot to be desired especially flimsy output tray, Lack of USB cable (as always), Cleaning Mode churning
