Well the simple answer is yes it can and very well too, this drive is not only a good looker but also a very good performer. You can also download lots of stuff from the xbox live marketplace including music videos, films, arcade games and even xbox originals. These will all take up varying amounts of space which will be indicated when you download a product.
You can also burn your CDs onto the xbox and store these on the harddrive - then listen to them whilst playing your favourite games!
It is also very easy to delete stuff as this can be done under the settings menu on the dashboard - so no need to worry if you use all the space or download stuff you don't want - it can be removed.
