I was given this camera as a gift about two years ago and can honestly say I have never used a better one... In all the time I have had it, it has been so 'idiot proof' that I have been unable (despite valiant attempts!!) to take a 'bad' photo... It is sooo small that it fits neatly into handbags, pockets etc, and yet has an amazing array of features.... I love the fact that the flash takes only a few seconds to load up, so you can take several photos in quick succession... I also love the zoom lens feature that is very easy to manipulate and use... I also like the warning lights that warn you if you are taking the photo wrongly.... Again, before I had this camera, I had quite a few run-ins with cameras, ie, I would spoil rolls of film trying to load them it, and also load used film in and take an entire roll of 'double' photos.. Then when I got the IXUS, this was a thing of the past.....No more fiddling with film- you just drop in right in.And all used film has a clear marking as do the undeveloped rolls..... In fact the only disadvantage I have found is that when I change the format of the photo to 'panoramic' it is easy to forget to change it back, which I have done on a couple occasions....However, this is very obviously my falut and not the camera, but a clearer indication might no go amiss!!
