This is another great camera to come out of the Canon IXUS range, it has basically all the same features as the other more expensive models but at a lower price. The area in which the Z50 lags behind the others is in the zoom and in the size of the body. The zoom is not as powerfull as the top of the range models and the lense doesent seem to be as high a quality either but is still capable of taking some magnificent snaps! I took it away with me to the Himalayas last year with some amazing results. The autofoucus is very efficient in capturing clarity and depth. The only problems i found with this model was that although it fitted in my trouser pockets, it did feel a bit tight and uncomfortable. another issue was the battery life, i found myself replacing batteries after every 4/5 films.
