The camera can zoom to 70mm, has a choice of 3 photo sizes, enables you to write messages on the pictures you take and also lets you delete unwanted photos of the film before printing. These facilities ... ...camera you also receive a remote control with lets you take snaps of yourself, I find this function to be very useful!
As well as all this the compact camera it one of the most stylish cameras around. It has a silver shell and like all of the other Ixus range looks amazing.

I took my mother's Canon Ixus Z70 on holiday with me as it was compact and also had a zoom lens. I was not disappointed by the results, and the camera was very easy to use. However the thing that I did find annoying was the fact that the camera seemed to devour battery, as although I did use the flash quiet a lot, I still did not expect to get through 2 batteries in 10 rolls of film. ...and I think it's superb. Canon cameras have such superb lenses that you can't fail to take great pictures. I also love the APS format and the lens quality helps produce what is in essense a 'blow up' of the image. This camera will do this for even long distance shots of scenery. It's lightweight and pocket size and very easy to operate. It can be set up for self portrait without distortions, date stamp, cheeky messages and the flash can be controlled ...

I moved to this camera from a CanonIxusZ70 (non digital) and thought that I would have to go some to beat that camera. This camera more than exceeded my expectations - it uses all of its 4.1 megapixels to good effect.
If you want a reliable, easy-to-use good looking camera with plenty of useful features then this is the camera for you.
It takes photos up to size A4 fine quality and will take up to A3 (though I would think that the average amateur photographer would not have the capability to print high quality photos this size.
I particularly like the fact that the menus are simple to use and, once you get to know which feature is where, actually assist you to take better photos!
The camera guides you through the photo taking process but also has a manual over-ride should you feel the need to use your eye instead of the camera ...
