I am setting up a home office, and already had an old Lexmark Z55 inkjet printer, but I needed new ink cartridges for it. I went to PC World, and original cartridges for the Z55 would have cost £50 (1 colour and 1 B&W). O.E.M. cheaper (30%)
PCWORLD had the Laser Shot LBP1120 on offer at £59.99 . The decision to buy it was simple really. I can expect at least 3 times the life of a laser cartridge vs inkjet, and OEM cartridge replacement is about £25.
Even if the printer is not brilliant, (the quality looks perfectly acceptable to me though) even if it breaks down, It is guaranteed for a year, so I am in credit.
This was a simple decision, mainly based on economics, and I will find out in the months to come, how reliable the printer is.
