I don't know if the reliability issues I experienced with this model are common but the first time it broke it thought it had a paper jam and nothing ... ...the printer thinks it's got a paper jam it won't attempt to print/scan or copy anything else. The replacement I got ceased to work after two months - it stopped feeding paper and on closer inspection the rollers had worn back to the metal which certainly shouldnt happen after such a short period of time. When the printer was actually in working order it was decent - the ability to scan and photocopy as well as print was a bonus. The quality ... more

The quality of prints was good although not excellent as far as photo quality is concerned. The MP220 was also capable of borderless printing which is an advantage that many other printers do not have. The printer takes one colour cartridge and one black one (the numbers 40 and 41 are the high capacity cartridges). All in all although when the printer worked it was half decent, the reliability and durability issues make it, in my opinion, not a worthwhile purchase.
Advantages: Great value all-rounder multi-function printer Disadvantages: Only has upto 600dpi scanning, and doesn't come with USB Cable
This is a great value, all-round printer.
The print quality is of Lab Quality standard, and not too slow either.
It is very reliable, and has lots of functions, like being able to copy documents just as a photocopier would, and a card reader for printing digital photo's.
The scanner is also very useful, with a maximum resolution of 600DPI, I have been using it to digitize some old family photo's that were printed on film with ease.
