Advantages Canon is very user friendly and simple menus.

Disadvantages Canon Concentrates only on userfriendliness sacrificing new features

I have used a lot of Camcorders over the years. The largest of them being the one I carried on my shouler to the one I carry in my pocket. Canon Cameras and Camcorders have always fascinated me.
This review is not about any specific model of the camera, but Canon Camcordersin General.
Canon Camcorders are simple to use and easy to learn camcorders. The instructions provided are very simple and a first time use of camcorders can easily work his way out with a Canon Camorder. The inscriptions on the camera are simple . To record/replay and download pictures and video from any canon, is a very straightforward process.
The best part comes in the lens used in canon. Their lens speak of the experience they have gained in the lens market with Cameras. They have translated that experience into developing great lens. The lens are quite powerful and the output is very clear. The image stability is a great feature on Canon. The uniqeness comes in the performance of lens in too much or too less light. Night mode is a good feature.

Many features on Canon Camcorders are generally special features on some other cameras and you pay extra for those features. Of course there are other Cam Corders that have features that are not in Canon. Canon tends to introduce new features with every new model that continiously improving. The prices are falling positively with the betterment of features.

Due to its simplicity, first time users of canon get to grips with camcorder usage quite easily. With few menus and simple options and easy to select methods, canon is a perfect partner for a novice and also a good tool in a professional person's hands. Canon Cameras and Camcorders and the best for teaching a person photo shooting or Video shooting. All Cameras come with a Tripod mounting facility and this is helpful in teaching a student about stability of the picture.

The only down side is its advantage, i.e the simplicity kills options of having multiple features or a whole range of new features on one camcorder. Canon seem to be a bit slow in bringing new options on to their camcorders. Either they are slow in doing it or bring out different camcorder ranges incorporating changes in each of them seperately. Overall, I rate Canon High, there is a high chance of improvement.
