Within seconds of turning on the camcorder you can capture quality footage. Just flick the 'Easy' switch and you are able to shoot in fully automatic mode. The controls are carefully positioned to give you fingertip access to all the key functions. Menu navigation is intuitive, straightforward and available in 8 languages. The MV830i's high-resolution 16:9 mode is great for shooting cinemascope video and for playing back on widescreen monitors. At the push of a button, the camcorder automatically switches the LCD to Letterbox and uses the full width of the CCD sensor to capture true widescreen footage. The camcorder's compact body is just 5cm wide and fits snugly in your palm. Despite this small size, it features a generous 2.4" colour LCD screen, which lets you monitor footage in detail as you shoot. No matter where you are or in what lighting conditions, you need never miss out on getting great shots. The MV830i has a powerful 20x optical zoom whose exceptional contrast and clarity take you to the heart of the action. A razor sharp 1/6" CCD delivers high fidelity images even at the strongest magnifications. Canon's unique DiGIC DV processor translates what the camcorder sees into warm, subtle tones that appear natural and vibrant. Electronic Image Stabilisation (EIS) keeps your footage steady and makes hand held shooting rock-solid. A mechanical shutter ensures blur-free stills that are fit to be printed as quality photos. You won't even need a PC to create your prints. Simply connect to any PictBridge compatible printer and select the images you want to produce. PC connectivity is fully supported. Use the DV in/out connecter to upload and download your digital movies and digitize videotape with the built-in converter. JPEGs and up to 60 minutes1 of Motion JPEG are stored direct on MMC or SD memory cards for upload via USB.
