Advantages: Multipurpose, cheap, easy to maintain Disadvantages: Bit complicated to use in the beginning
...I am posting this opinion here as I'm quite sure that the C50 is the same as the C530.
Canon Multipass C530 – Fax, Printer, Scanner and Copier.
=
The Canon MultiPass C530 is extremely easy to set up. In the beginning, it's a little confusing to operate which is due to its many functions. Once you get the hang of it, then its really quite easy to operate.
The printer function is just as easy as any other printer (although I don’t print much with this as I already have an HP Printer), and the printing and copying quality is reasonably good. Images and documents are easily scanned, no matter what the size. There are different settings depending on what you're scanning. The scanning quality is a lot better than the old Flat Bed Scanners, so if your not fussy then its...

Advantages: Great quality printing in a stylish package Disadvantages: Slightly complex software install
...I had my previous Dell All-in-one some 4 years and it was showing its age particularly as regards colour printing, it just wasn't up to the kids homework standard! I read a number of reviews and was attracted to the Canon Pixma MP610. Wow, it has stunning looks, installed easily and the quality of black and white was brilliant. The ability to have two paper sources, one being a drawer has proved a major advantage. Don't be put off by the purchase price it seems this printer is best in class for running costs. My only problem was during the initial software install, where it seems that part of the scanning software was omitted (probably my fault) but once this was remedied, I was off!...

Advantages: Cheap, quality print, quality scan, quite quiet, 2 paper trays Disadvantages: expensive carts with chips, fiddly CD print
...I have owned mine for over a year now
This is probably one of the best printers I have bought.
It produces great prints on both plain and photographic paper
Another real bonus is that it has 2 paper trays which is handy if you use headed paper or wish to load one with envelopes.
The scan reproduction is excellent and its software easy to use. If you use other Canon products (eg: camera/camcorder), then all the software works well together.
Overall, it is a little bulky compared to many other that are available, and the paper support plastics are rather flimsey and so could be broken if positioned in many places - or if you have kids!
It prints very quietly if wanted - which is useful.
If you use compatible inks - you will not find it easy to do so with this and later printers from Canon as the carts have a microchip in them...

Travels with my 400D
I’ve been putting off writing this review for months and months. I’ve been waiting until I know just about as much about the camera as I possibly can, but I’ve come to the conclusion that this will never happen, more
The 40D is the third Canon DSLR that I've owned (the others being the 300D and 350D) and is by far the best of the three. This, mind you, is not particularly surprising since it's aimed at the semi-professional ("pro-sumer") who wants a robust camera... more
